Assessing urban zoning code to find ways to improve neighborhood walkability, and to increase housing choice and employment opportunities
If you’ve ever walked through your neighborhood and noted things that would provide you a safer experience, or would improve the look and feel of the area, you might be interested in learning about potential changes to urban zoning rules, and to ask questions from planning experts.
You are invited to attend an in-person open house from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., October 22 in Oregon City to provide your thoughts on various ideas to make county code clearer to understand and easier to apply in our urban land use areas. The conversation will be focused on zoning rules.
Examples of how changes to zoning rules could change the look and feel of your neighborhood include:
- More job opportunities
- More housing choices
- Improved walkability and connection to community centers and other key destinations
